Indian Army Destroys Pakistan Military Posts Today Morning

Srinagar: In response to the recent infiltration bids from the Pakistan side of the Line of Control, the Indian Army struck a Pakistani forward post in Nowshera sector along the LoC. Calling for proactive counter-terrorism operations in order to maintain peace and stability in the J&K, Major General Ashok Narula, briefing the media, said that such activities must be curbed as it might have influence the youth in the area.

The news agency ANI has released the first visuals of the India’s strong message to Pakistan.

“Pakistan army has been providing support to armed infiltrators by engaging forward troops…closer to the LoC. At times, they have not even hesitated to target villages,” Narula said.

Saying that the Indian Army proactively dominated the LoC, Narula added that locations aiding infiltration of terrorists have been identified and destroyed them. “Infiltrations are likely to increase to with melting of snow and opening of passes,” he said.

“It is essential to bring down the number of incidents in J&K so that the youth are not influenced,” he added.

Releasing dramatic videos of heavy firing on Pakistani posts, the army said it has carried out punitive fire assaults on these posts near Jammu and Kashmir’s Nowshera sector to check infiltration.

“As part of our anti-terror strategy, punitive fire assaults are carried out from time to time. Pakistani posts actively help infiltration,” said an army officer. In a strong message sent out globally, the army has clearly indicated that if Pakistan tries to push in infiltrators, India will take firm action.

Sources have drawn a clear distinction with the surgical strikes of last September, in which Indian soldiers went across the Line of Control and targeted terrorist staging areas.

In this case, Indian soldiers fired mortars from their side of the border. Heavy fire included bunker busting guns and anti-tank guided munitions.

India’s action comes in the middle of national anger over terror attacks on army camps, the recent mutilation of two soldiers by Pakistanis and the brutal killing of a young Kashmiri army officer.
